Like yourself, I'm a veteran. Serving in the US Air Force as both an enlisted member and officer for 24-years of active-duty service, I deployed for both OPERATION DESERT STORM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. I have walked a mile in your shoes and experienced some of the same obstacles that you are when I initially filed for my own VA benefits.
After retiring from the USAF, I continued my service to our country and fellow veterans as a Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR) with the Department of Veterans Affairs for nearly a decade. In that time, I was responsible for the adjudication of over 6,000 disability compensation claims for veterans who served in every branch of service and during every conflict era, from WWII through the Persian Gulf conflict. This experience provided me with the knowledge of exactly what is required to ensure service connection is granted with the highest possible evaluation and the earliest effective date, the ability to spot mistakes made by the VA, and the insight as to which method of appeal is most beneficial for the quickest correction of those mistakes.
